Boost / Quiksilver Pro 2019

Good afternoon all, Visual Collective is coming to you from Coolangatta.

The Boost Mobile / Quiksilver Pro has been and gone for another year and I’ve just managed to get around and edit some 300 images from competition.

Unfortunately the Pro didn’t make it to Snapper this year with the sand not filling into the point on time, due to little of the good stuff around at the Tweed River to pump. It was looking super close to run on the Sunday, with some nice waves lining up behind the rock, it just wasn’t good enough to get the WSL to call it.

But with Duranbah ( Dbah) just around the corner, the sand banks were another story with incredible waves along its stretch, giving the pro’s some epic waves to contest in.

Congratulations to Caroline Marks for taking out her first win on the CT and Italo Ferreira for taking the out top place in the first leg off the World Surf League, both surfing incredible throughout.

The WSL make there way to Bells now for stop two. Unfortunately I can’t make it this year and it’s one of my favourite places to watch the comp, maybe next year.

The swell is predicted to drop slightly tomorrow into the 3-4ft range with light SE winds early, so well worth the early paddle on the points.

Happy Easter all, hope it’s a good one.

Have a great day all.
